Teldon's Rewatch Review: Season 5 Episode 11 -- the Finale

REGIONAL ROUTINES:

West: Poreotix, Hype 5-0, and Heavy Impact dancing to "Blah Blah Blah" by Kesha
What I thought- It started strong and then quickly lived up to the song's namesake.  With the exception of the group tutting section, this routine was Blah.  There was no energy or real cohesion whatsoever in this routine.

East: Blueprint Cru, Saltare, and Static Noyze dancing to "Hot Mess" by Cobra Starship
What I thought- Well, like the West, they certainly knew how to make the title of the song come alive.  We got just a touch of personality in this one but again it was boring.  They could have done so much more with this.

South: Jungle Boogie, Royal Flush, and Swagger Crew dancing to "Take Your Shirt Off" by T-Pain
What I thought- Kinda figures the only region without a horse in the race would do the best tonight.  Again why so literal tonight with the song titles?  Overall this was a somewhat entertaining routine.  Good energy helped to salvage this one, because it was sloppy.

TOP TWO DUO:

Poreotix and Blueprint Cru performing Pulse Percussion
What I thought- This routine in no way, shape, or form does justice to these two crews.  I may have issues with one of those crews but this is something you do not do to them.  This is an insult plain and simple to the abilities of these crews.  I would have thought from the massive failure the last time this was tried the producers would have learned their lesson.  If I have to rank the top duos from all seasons it would be:

1. Beat Freaks and Quest Crew "Beggin"
2. Afroborike and We Are Heroes "I Gotta Feelin"
3. SoReal Cru and Super Cr3w "Puttin on the Ritz"
4. Jabbawookez and Status Quo "Stomp the Yard"
5. Blueprint Cru and Poreotix "Pulse Percussion"
-------------------------------------------
Overall thoughts of this episode- Need I say more than WORST FINALE PERFORMANCES EVER!!  They were all boring.  They were all sloppy.  They should have never happened.

Overall thoughts on the season- This season was the reverse of Season Four.  It started great and built up major momentum but once we hit Usher Week, things just went downhill until we crashed and burned.  I think the only thing that saved this season was the intense hype for Blueprint 5-0 and Poreotix.
