This is Teldon's Rewatch Review of America's Best Dance Crew Season 2 Live Finale! Thanks, Teldon!
---------------------------------------------------------
SoReal Cru and Super Cr3w dancing to "Puttin' on the Ritz", "It's Me Snitches" by Swizz Beatz and "In the Ayer" by Flo Rida featuring will.i.am
How did they do? This one was light years better then the Jabba/SQ duo (but then I think two 3 year-olds dancing would have better then that train wreck). It really showed off the skill and versatility of both groups. While neither could perfect emulate the other they did a fine job of it.
--------------------------------------------
REGIONAL PERFORMANCES
East: Boogie Bots, Phresh Select, and Sass x7 dancing to "Run the Show" by Kat DeLuna featuring Busta Rhymes
How did they do? The opening and the partner work were the best parts of this. It was smart and creative and showed a playful side to the crews. Group solos could have been better, no real difficulty was shown in any of them.
South: Distorted X and SoReal Cru dancing to "Get Like Me" by David Banner featuring Chris Brown
How did they do? Like the Mid-West last season we had an equal number of men and women on the stage. Sadly it was not quite as strong as the BS/F5 duo. To me Distorted X came harder and had more energy then SoReal Cru did throughout the performance.
Midwest: A.S.I.I.D and Xtreme Dance Force dancing to "Touch the Sky" by Kanye West featuring Lupe Fiasco
How did they do? This just took way too long to get started, but when they did it was great. The moves had a great energy to them and both crews worked well together. This was a redemption for Xtreme Dance Force.
West: Fanny Pak, Supreme Soul, and Super Cr3w dancing to "Go Hard or Go Home" by E-40
How did they do? They managed to blend all three crews moves into a seamless unit. Every group solo was completely different but did not feel out of place. The best moments were when all the crews worked together.
--------------------------------------------------------
THE FINAL CUT
Did America get it right? At this point did it really matter? We went into the top 6 with 5 of the strongest crews that were also fan favs. People were gonna be pissed no matter what happened. Granted SC may have been out danced and out performed every time they were in the bottom but they did fight for it.
Overall feelings on this season- I think the main reason people hated this season is because it was so polarizing. Whether messed up bottom two battles or style preferences everyone had an opinion. In addition, the level of consistency that was there season one was lacking. We either went from a very good episode to a very bad episode. Factor in some weird challenges and changes and we did not know what to expect.
